Mount Rushmore National Memorial
Mount Rushmore National Memorial is visited by nearly three million people each year that come to marvel at the majestic beauty of the Black Hills of South Dakota and learn about the birth, growth, development and preservation of the country. From the history of the first inhabitants to the diversity of America today, Mount Rushmore brings visitors face to face with the rich heritage we all share.
Sculpture Illumination and Evening Lighting Program
The sculpture is illuminated nightly, year-round.
During the summer months join a park ranger in the park's outdoor amphitheater for an inspirational 45-minute program focusing on the presidents, patriotism and the nation's history. Beginning with a ranger talk, this program continues with the film "Freedom: America's Lasting Legacy" (captioned) and culminates with the lighting of the memorial. Program held nightly late May through the end of September.
Badlands National Park
The rugged beauty of the Badlands draws visitors from around the world. These striking geologic deposits contain one of the world’s richest fossil beds. Ancient mammals such as the rhino, horse, and saber-toothed cat once roamed here. The park’s 244,000 acres protect an expanse of mixed-grass prairie where bison, bighorn sheep, prairie dogs, and black-footed ferrets live today.
Reptile Gardens
Stroll through a garden oasis of colorful blooms, lush vegetation, and well manicured lawns... you may even get the rare opportunity to have an up close and personal animal encounter with one of our snakes, our baby gator Fluffy, or any of the other photogenic creatures.

Bear Country USA
A unique drive-thru wildlife park featuring North American wildlife. Encounter bears, wolves, elk, buffalo, and other wildlife on your three mile drive. Enjoy the playful antics of bear cubs and other park offspring in the walk through Babyland. See where the animals roam free!
Storybook Island
Storybook Island is an admission free children's theme park that is open Memorial Day weekend through through Labor Day Weekend from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily unless closed due to weather.

The Mammoth Site
The Mammoth Site of Hot Springs, SD is an active paleontological dig site, which boasts the largest concentration of mammoth remains in the world! Our current mammoth count is 61, with 58 Columbian and 3 woolly mammoths. We hope you will come and tour this unique National Natural Landmark!
